How should I prepare for the SSC CGL? I am in the BA 1st year right now.


First of all you should focus on your BA study. After that, you you have free time then you can make your time table for SSC CGL. SSC CGL Exam conducts for grduate candidates so you have almost 2 year for preparation.

First make your time table in which you will cover all the syllabus.

At least 6 hours study daily.

  • 2 hour - English (Take 30 min. for weak areas)
  • 2 Hours - Maths (Take 30 min. for weak areas)
  • 1 Hours - General Intelligence & Reasoning (Take 20 min. for weak areas)
  • 1 Hour - General Awareness (Take 15 min. for weak areas)

English or Maths Subjects are compulsory in SSC CGL Tier 2. So, you should take more time from other subjects.

Clear your basic concepts for all subjects, if you think that you need to coaching to clear your basics then you can join coaching.

Make your own notes so that you can revise easily.

Learn always short and simple tricks, formulas etc specially for SSC CGL Maths Notes.

Maths always need to more practice so practice all questions.

Take extra time for your weak areas.

Solve previous year question papers and give mock test to analyze your preparation so that you can find your weak areas. They will help you to secure your single digit rank.

Read daily news papers, magazines, watch news channels to improve your GK.

Watch English movies, channels to improve your vocabulary.
